Care plans for iPhone & iPad

You shouldn’t have to hold it all alone. Now you don’t have to.

Tend: care the way it should be—shared.

Tend turns the paperwork from every doctor — discharge sheets, clinic letters, medication lists — into one clear schedule with reminders, so nothing gets missed when it matters most.

The problem

Instructions are written for clinicians. Care happens at home.

When someone you love comes home from surgery, or lives with a long-term condition, the instructions arrive in pieces. A discharge sheet from the surgeon. A letter from the cardiologist. A medication list from the family doctor. Different schedules, overlapping medications, warning signs scattered across pages. All of it important. None of it in one place.

You're exhausted. You're scared. And you're supposed to hold all of it together.

Tend was built for that moment — by a caregiver who lived it.

Three steps from paperwork to plan.

01
Add the paperwork

Upload a discharge sheet, clinic letter or medication list as a PDF or text file, or paste it in. Add more as new doctors weigh in.

02
Review what Tend found

Tend pulls out medications, wound care, exercises and warning signs, and shows the exact line each came from. If something conflicts with another doctor's instructions, you decide. Nothing changes until you approve it.

03
Follow the schedule with confidence

Reminders for every dose, a symptom check grounded in your care team's warning signs, and a summary to take to the next appointment. No more cross-referencing pages at midnight.

More than one doctor. More than one kind of care.

Instructions from every doctor

Surgeon, specialist, family doctor: each document goes into the same schedule, labeled with where it came from.

Conflicts flagged, never merged

A changed dose, a duplicate, or a "stop taking" is shown side by side for you to decide. A tenfold dose change gets a warning, because it's usually a typo.

Reminders you can count on

Every dose gets a reminder inside the hours you choose. Mark it taken or skipped right from the notification.

A symptom check in your doctors' words

Entries are compared with the warning signs your care team wrote down and with the last two weeks. You get a plain answer, never "normal".

Appointment summary

One tap builds a PDF on your phone: medications and their sources, doses taken and missed, symptoms, and your questions for the visit.

Ongoing conditions and self-care

Not just surgery recovery: heart failure, diabetes and other long-term conditions, whether you're caring for someone else or yourself.

Health information deserves to be treated with care.

Tend is built privacy-first — not as a feature, but as a foundation. Your family's health information belongs to you. Read exactly where it goes.

  • Your care plan is stored on your phone. No account, and no copy on our servers.
  • AI is optional. When it's on, only the text a feature needs goes to Anthropic's Claude, after names and identifiers are removed. It's never used to train models. Photos are never sent.
  • No ads, no selling data. Usage statistics are off unless you turn them on.
  • Delete anything in the app, or delete the app to remove everything.

Built by a caregiver who couldn't find the tool he needed.

At the beginning of 2026, Eugene Aiken found himself supporting three family members through major surgeries at the same time. As a data engineer with ADHD, the cognitive load of managing complex care instructions across three recoveries simultaneously wasn't just stressful — missing something had real consequences.

He looked for an app that could help organize it all. It didn't exist. So he taught himself Swift and built one.

Tend is the tool he needed then. It's free because every caregiver deserves access to it — regardless of their resources, their technical ability, or how many hard days they've already had.

Care is rarely one person's job.

The next step is helping everyone who cares for someone work from the same plan.

Next

Share care with your family

Everyone who helps will see the same plan, and a dose given on one phone will show as done on everyone's. Accounts will stay optional, and the person receiving care will stay in charge.

Planned

A web app

For the caregivers in a circle who don't have an iPhone. Android comes after that.

Planned

Coordination

Assigning tasks, seeing who's on today, handoff notes between shifts, and a heads-up when a dose is missed.

Tend helps you organize care. It does not replace medical advice. Always follow your care team's instructions, contact them with questions, and call your local emergency number in an emergency.
